[edit] Do not understand your edit

Hi there, Just wondering why you edited out my addition of Mr. Brad Dingler as the creator of the new SRTSS website. Actually, what I don't understand is why that information isn't relevant. Thanks! Jeff — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jcurwen (talkcontribs) 04:36, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Hello! Was trying to update the Asian Television Network page to add current information and remove broken link, but changes got reversed. Thought I had been careful to respect conflict of interest guidelines, and did not post anything that isn't verifiable by outside source - i.e. TSX Venture 50 exchange. Can you provide some advice/guidance please? Kwdubeau (talk) 19:54, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

It's fine if you want to edit the ATN article, but what you wrote pretty much looked like PR speak. It seems that you just copy and pasted information from ATN's website and/or press releases. PR Site. This is not acceptable on Wikipedia as the content from the ATN website is copyrighted. Feel free to add the information back, but be sure to remain neutral, avoid any peacock terms and provide references where possible. Thanks.  єmarsee Speak up! 20:25, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image File:KVOS MeTV.png

⚠
Thanks for uploading File:KVOS MeTV.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 04:12, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for File:Ftv logo.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Ftv logo.svg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 08:06, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Naming conventions for the Canadian digital transition

I was thinking that Canadian stations should follow the American standard for name displays (such as WDIV-TV (4.1 NBC, 4.2 This TV), instead of CIII-DT-41 41 (41.1 Global). I propose that we leave out the old analog number for digital stations, so they appear more like CIII-DT-41 (41.1 Global)... it's just less clunky and redundant. I understand that digital stations may not be broadcasting on their old analog frequencies (especially true for VHF-Low stations), and that Canadian broadcasters can choose to name their repeaters either after their channel number, or sequentially, but I think it's best if we stick with call-signs only and leave the digital subchannels for the affiliations. We need some sort of standards so things don't appear chaotic. What do you think? RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 16:07, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

It definitely would be less clunky to condense it to just the virtual channel number, but as far as I'm aware, there are several stations that aren't correctly remapping to their original channel numbers. CKXT Toronto apparently doesn't remap to its original analog channel 52, and simply appears as 66.1. Out here in the west, CHAN often has problems with their PSIP generator and can appear as 8.1 one day and 22.1 the next. CJCO Calgary remaps to the same virtual channel as CFCN, 4.1. Unlike the United States, I don't think Canada requires stations to remap to their original analog channels. The few channels that are actually remapping to their correct channel numbers are those who flash cut to digital. Removing the physical channel might be even more confusing due to the lack of consistency within Canada. I personally think that being redundant might be better than being inaccurate.  █ EMARSEE 16:52, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
Good call, then. It's a shame that the stations don't properly (or consistently) display their information. RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 17:05, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
Given the indifferent the Canadian broadcasters are towards the digital transition (e.g. CTV(2) is still analog only in most mandatory markets), it doesn't surprise me that they don't really care what channel their signals appear on.  █ EMARSEE 17:15, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, what content was that? Clarifying that there will be no transit lanes, only HOV lanes? Something else too? Eric Doherty (talk) 07:21, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

The highly controversial Port Mann / Highway 1 (PMH1) Project, that's what you added.  █ EMARSEE 22:18, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

What does this say? French or just English? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wawaxi (talkcontribs) 01:50, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Canada has two official languages: French and English. Nothing about British Columbia, and you're just doing selective reading.  █ EMARSEE 22:08, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

[edit] CTV Two status

I know that they refer to CTV Two as a network on press releases, but you're saying its not a network but a television system like Citytv. http://www.bellmediapr.ca/CTVTwo/aboutus/

Is there a reason you deleted the logo designed by portion of the page? The logo was designed by me. Thank you, Erwin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Erwincreative (talkcontribs) 05:53, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Robert A. McMath Secondary School Clubs Section

I do not understand why you removed the clubs section from the McMath Secondary School Wiki Page. If you saw the school website, the clubs are official and not made up. The point of adding clubs is a sense of what the school has to offer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.92.5.34 (talk) 02:53, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

i've yet to see user Nancy make much useful contributions to the page or engage in dialogue aboutit. Rather she goes in and slashes. I was not attacking Nancy, I was telling her to do something more constructive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.68.6.12 (talk) 20:19, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
