1°21′40″N 103°42′18″E / 1.361019°N 103.705100°E / 1.361019; 103.705100 Bulim Bus Depot will be the fourth and the first SMRT Buses bus depot to be built by the Land Transport Authority. It will be located off Jurong West Avenue 2.

The depot will accommodate about 500 buses and will be equipped with facilities for daily bus operations, bus maintenance and a rest area for bus drivers. It is scheduled for completion by 2015.[1]

History[edit]

Announced by LTA on 23 April 2013, the bus depot will be the first depot that LTA is developing and funding, as part of the review of the enhanced structural assistance that Government is providing the bus industry announced in Committee of Supply (COS) 2012. The depot is intended to accommodate the additional buses that it is bringing in over the next few years. The operator’s existing bus depots and bus park are reaching full capacity, and the new facility is necessary to support the higher number of buses as the overall bus capacity is progressively increased under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).[1]

1°23′09″N 103°50′50″E / 1.385842°N 103.847103°E / 1.385842; 103.847103 Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot (SBS Transit) is an SBS Transit East District bus depot located in Yio Chu Kang, Singapore. This bus depot is also the starting point for Service 45, Service 128 (AM Peak), Townlink 265 and Townlink 268.

History[edit]

Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot started operations in 1978, replacing the Paya Lebar Bus Service's Paya Lebar Depot before it relocated to Ang Mo Kio. The old depot was replaced by SMRT Trains Kim Chuan Depot. Service 169 had been the mainstay with Atlanteans together with all services until 1983.

Bedok North[edit]

History[edit]

Bedok North Bus Depot started operations in 1978. It was also used to have double-deckers, mainly the Leyland Atlantean which is from Service 10 until 1994, where the Volvo Olympian were introduced.

Since 11 December 2011, Service 48 will depart from and terminate at Bedok North Depot. Previously, it terminates at Upper East Coast Bus Terminal.

Hougang Bus Depot started operations in 1983 when the north-east which is Hougang and Serangoon was developed and previously, all operations had been on Paya Lebar Bus Depot, Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot (SBS Transit) and Braddell Bus Park respectively.

Loyang[edit]

1°22′04″N 103°58′01″E / 1.3677°N 103.967°E / 1.3677; 103.967 Loyang Bus Depot will be the fifth and the first SBS Transit bus depot to be built by the Land Transport Authority. It will be located off Loyang Avenue.

Headquarters of ComfortDelgro and its subsidiaries[edit]

Besides serving as a bus park, the premises also serves as the headquarters for ComfortDelGro and many of its local subsidiaries, which are mainly located in two blocks of office buildings. These subsidiaries are SBS Transit, ComfortDelGro Bus, CityCab, ComfortDelGro Engineering, ComfortDelGro Rent-A-Car and Moove Media. There are also workshops run by ComfortDelGro Engineering in the premises.

It is the only multi-storey bus depot owned by SBS Transit and the depot itself consists of 3 decks. This bus depot is also the starting point for Service 185 and Express 502.
