I am not a frequent editor of Wikipedia, but I've had this account for 6 years, 255 days. I am a frequent reader and occasionally engage in copy editing, improving layout, and correcting assertions that I know to be correctable (generally with citation). I have been known to engage in vandalism patrol and new page patrol for a few hours a week.
My proudest (all things being relative) contributions to the project are:
- Creating the articles for Elysian Fields Quarterly, Unimart, Penncrest School District, and the wonderful bureaucratic disease of Functional siloing. I've also contributed considerably to the stub on Eddie Klep, the first white player to pitch in a Negro league baseball game
- Adding conservation status details to the article Human, soon after the IUCN announced the results of their evaluation that species' status (hint - we aren't in any danger of extinction).
For some reason the second bullet means something to me. A species that has historically had a very self-centered world view has evaluated it's own viability; that to me is a great leap in the spirit of neutral perspective. And for me to be the one to first add that confirmed fact to the largest compendium of public knowledge that species has ever seen... well, it feels like an honor.
Other than that, it's mostly been small potatoes. You know, I'm not paying for this great diversion that so often satisfies my dilettante-generalist's curiosity, so I give some time when I can to help improve it.
[edit] About
My username refers to the Erielhonan tribe, once of the south shore of Lake Erie. I'm not a member (it hasn't been extant since the Iroquois confederacy wiped them out in the 17th century C.E.), but I hail from that part of the world. My irl name is Drew.
I've always liked reading the encyclopedia, since I was a small kid. Because of this, I can sound like a wonk on a wide range of topics at any given cocktail party.
Elsewise, I have recently relocated back to Pennsylvania after spending several years in San Francisco followed by a months-long break relaxing on Oahu. Other places I have lived include Oakland, California, Portland, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Erie, Pennsylvania, Richmond, Virginia, St. Petersburg, Florida, Bedford, Pennsylvania and State College, Pennsylvania, in the past.

They live here. Please add any gracious and lovely awards you want to give me to that page, below the line of text that reads similarly to this one.
