Here are some things I have concluded are usually true as a result of my experience patrolling the new pages feed, and nominating stuff for deletion:

1. If, less than 24 hours after the page is created, Googling it turns up a link to the Wikipedia article on the first page of results, the subject probably isn't notable.
2. Any article containing first person pronouns is almost certainly eligible for a speedy as either spam or A7.
