The Heroes 360 experience (Heroes 360) is a digital extension of the NBC series Heroes. NBC unveiled Heroes 360 program on January 19 2007 as a way for viewer to further explore the Heroes universe. The experience kicked off on January 22 2007, during the first airing of the 12th episode, "Godsend". Fans could follow clues aired during the episodes, found in tie-in websites, or sent in e-mails from the characters to interact in a storyline parallel to the show's story arcs. As with most alternate reality games, interaction via various communication methods is a key part of The Heroes 360 experience. Clues have pointed to faked websites, Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) websites, phone numbers, two-screen media players, phone numbers, text messages, and e-mails. The Heroes 360 Experience is sponsored by Nissan, who currently sponsors Heroes and previously sponsored NBC's online-only reality talent competition Star Tomorrow.
Primatech and Hana Gitelman
The first clue aired during "Godsend" when Mr. Bennet (Heroes) gave a business card to Mohinder Suresh. The business card displayed a phone number (1-800-PRIMA-16) and a website () for the fictional company where Mr. Bennet works, Primatech. Inquiring for personnel information via the company's automated phone system yields a clue for mobile phone users. Sending the text message "APPLY" to mobile phone number 46622 will send back a passcode ("MT36") to access the application for employment at Primatech Paper Company's website. The application includes a personality test and the option to sign up for additional SMS messages. At the website for Primatech Paper Company, participants could learn more about the company's public face and send an online application for employment. At the WAP website, , visitors would see a message from an unknown person that the website would be hacked within a week.
A week later during the airing of "The Fix"", Hana Gitelman hacks into the feed for Heroes Interactive, a special two-screen media player at NBC's website. Viewers could see trivia and facts about the show on one screen while watching the episode live on the other. Hana, a former Primatech employee with the power to receive and transmit electronic signals by thought alone, gave viewers a clue to seek out a hidden symbol on another area of the Primatech Paper Company's website. After the episode, participants who submitted Primatech employment applications began receiving e-mails and text messages from Hana Gitelman with the same information. By locating the helix and entering the provided username and password from Hana's message, her Primatech profile became available. Putting together colored letters on her profile gave readers the password for Sylar's profile as well. The profiles include scientific and mental information on the two characters, both who have superhuman abilities and were subjects of Primatech's secret scientific experiments by Primatech. She sends another password after "Distractions" for Ted Sprague's profile, and the password for Matt Parkman's profile was sent after "Run!".

Hana's Website and the Graphic Novels
On February 5 2007, after "Distractions" aired, Hana sends sends e-mail and text messages directing Primatech applicants to . This linked players to her website where she updates a blog on her activities. The website also provided an access code to leave voicemail messages for Mr. Bennet in the Primatech voicemail system and a mobile number to text messages to Hana. Messages of both types from participants were later uploaded to the website. Also, early entries provided her thoughts on Primatech and passwords to the Primatech profiles.
Hana uploaded the schematic for the pneumatic needle, which injected tracking devices into Primatech's captives, to her website on February 19. Hana also appeared in an episode for the first time that day: in "Unexpected" she recruits Ted and Matt to help bring down Primatech. However, she does not accompany Matt and Ted to Mr. Bennet's house. In The Path of the Righteous, the Heroes online graphic novel released the next day, it is revealed that she realizes they simply want revenge and leaves them to pursue Mr. Bennet's superiors.
Before the airing of "Company Man" on February 26, Hana sent another round of messages inviting people to watch Heroes Interactive that night. As Matt and Ted held the Bennet family hostage in the episode, Hana interacted with the viewers while attempting to monitor Ted and Matt's activities. When Ted's radiation generation ability caused an explosion, Hana reported she felt a pulse of electromagnetic activity and believed Matt and Ted to be lost.
On March 5, Hana posted screenshots of the "Company Man" Heroes Interactive session on her website. The next day, Hana also referred Primatech applicants to the official Heroes graphic novel website. In that week's issue, Family Man, Mr. Bennet sends a message requesting help to Hana, whom he trained for Primatech and later abandoned. Despite their history, Hana agrees to help. Hana posted the contents of Mr. Bennet's e-mail in a March 12 entry on her website. Mr. Bennet stated he knew Hana sent Ted and Matt after him, but that he decided to switch sides. He also gave her the name of a file, SEA:V5J1K2/P/L, which could bring down Primatech. Hana discovers in the following graphic novel, War Buddies, that the file is only available in paper at the Pentagon. She travels to Washington, DC and seduces a Pentagon agent to steal his credentials, which she uses to gain access to the Pentagon file.
Hiro Nakamura, who has the power to time-travel and teleport, frequently adds entries to his blog at the Heroes official website throughout the season. After he accidentally teleports into the future in the March 12 episode, "Parasite", all of his entries are missing from his blog except for two. The first entry is from his father's company, Yakamoto Industries, stating that they have no relationship with Hiro. The second entry, posted with a stardate far in the future, is from Hiro. The latter entry frequently mentions flowers. The Japanese word for flower is "hana". In the comments section of the entry, a reader named "Samantha" replies that Hiro needs to send the SEA:V5J1K2/P/L file back in time to the Haitian. A link in the comment leads to Hana's MySpace webpage, [myspace].
Primatech applicants received text message and e-mail invitations on February 19 to visit , the new website for the Corinthian Hotel and Casino. The website describes several luxuries and amenities of the casino. The casino is run by the Linderman Group. The website also hosts three free casino-style Flash games. Players who won enough money were invited to apply for the Corinthian's VIP membership club, The Titan Club.
Titan Club applicants who elected to receive text messages received an invite on February 23 to visit the Corinthian's WAP website, . That website directed provided a password to enter the VIP area of the main Corinthian website. The VIP area hosts Mr. Linderman's archives where guests could view previously unseen artwork by Isaac Mendez. The archive also contained the tapestry and sword of Takezo Kensei, a Japanese samurai who Hiro Nakamura considers a hero.
After learning that Primatech did not cause people to gain their abilities, Hana sent an e-mail and uploaded a new blog entry on March 5, pointing to . Chandra Suresh wrote the book Activating Evolution about genetics and enhanced humans. The website is dedicated to Chandra's research and is maintained by his son, Mohinder Suresh. An excerpt from the book and a wiki to share theories on Chandra's research can be found there. The website also has a link to Chandra's list of evolved humans, although following the link simply leads to a message that the list was removed "for security purposes."
The website also hosts interviews with Dr. Wayne Grady, a real-life genetics professor. He co-authored the book Cancer Diagnostics: Current and Future Trends with Robert Nakamura in 2004. He has also co-published several studies, including a 2005 study with Ramaswamy K. Iyer in 2005. The names of two characters on Heroes are Hiro Nakamura and Sanjog Iyer.
