[edit] About Me
Freshacconci at YYZ Artists' Outlet, Toronto

I live in Montréal, although I was born in and grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, which was the featured article on February 29, 2008. I'm a doctoral student and have had a number of articles published on art, sound and media art. My main interests wiki-wise are media art (sound, video, electronic), Canadian art, contemporary art, art history from late-19th century to the 1970s (i.e. Modernism) and experimental film. I've been using the username Freshacconci for years and in other forums and for no other reason than my admiration for Vito Acconci, plus I like the sound of it. I've been editing on wiki since October 2006 as Freshacconci (I apparently registered on July 22, 2006 but didn't edit while logged in until October for some reason). Before that I occasionally edited as an anonymous visitor: it seems my first actual edit was on January 1, 2006.
