ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Emmanuel Akinola. I was born in Houston, Texas, USA. I'm Nigerian-descended while having having Egyptian ancestry through my father (oral tradition) and Togo ancestry through my mother with possible French ancestry. I like imparting knowledge onto others. That's why I enjoy editing Wikipedia so that I can update people to new information. Besides loving the Internet and TV, I love drawing, reading, playing sports, and socializing. I also attended Barbara Jordan High School, currently attend Texas Tech University, and my career goals are becoming a pictorial artist, screenwriter, novelist, and computer engineer.

OTHER GOALS AND INTERESTS:
Becoming a polyglot thus learning my ancestral languages (Yoruba, French, and Egyptian Arabic) and other languages including Spanish, Italian, Greek, Russian, German, Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Urdu, Japanese, Portuguese, and Korean. Ancient Egyptian and Latin are among other dead and native languages I'd like to study. My main dream right now is to one day screen write the original Lewis Barnavelt trilogy by John Bellairs. I'm on my way to writing screenplays for my future film endeavors (which hopefully includes Number the Stars, and a pilot for a drama television show called Makeshift which has ten superhumans (members of a race that inspired mythology) trying to redeem themselves for their past lives through saving people while also coping with societal integration. My other interests besides literature and films include mathematical logic, neuroscience, computer science, physics, philosophy, and engineering.

FAVORITES:
My favorite types of movies are science-fiction/fantasy/horror movies, comic book/superhero movies, historical movies, crime thrillers, and action thrillers. My favorite books include the Harry Potter series, the LOTR book series, the Sherlock Holmes novels, the Cirque du Freak series, and various comic books along with graphic novels. Generally, I like all types of music, but my preferences are hip-hop, pop rock, rap, R&B, reggae, classical music, and alternative rock. The Dark Knight, Watchmen, Batman Begins, Spider-Man 2, X2, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, and Superman:The Movie, rank as my favorite comic book superhero movies. Favorite music band and artists include Coldplay, Moby, T.I., Lily Allen,Will.i.am, Usher, Jay Z, and M.I.A.

IDEAS/BELIEFS
I believe we all should be open-minded to other religions. Regarding films, I believe Superman Returns and Hulk were two comic book movies that were a bit underrated; they deserved a little more praise. Even though Superman Returns was too melodramatic and Hulk was too delved into the origin story, they were both good movies. More ideas and beliefs coming soon...
