Gavin Jarrett Dow (born September 4, 1985 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American law student at the Washington University School of Law, and lives in University City, MO. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Walter Payton College Prep.

Gavin is an occasional Wikipedia editor, usually only modifying obvious mistakes he sees while perusing. As a frequent Wikipedia reader in search of overviews of subjects instead of detailed descriptions, he is an ardent opponent of recentism.
