The United States operations are based in Portland, Oregon and the CEO is Tom Wyatt, who was hired in 2012 and was previously the CEO of Old Navy.  Mike Ensing is the Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Elanna Yalow, serves as the CEO of Early Learning Programs and Wei-Li Chong is the EVP of Human Resources 
Knowledge Universe is one of Oregon's largest privately held companies and a large employer in the Portland metro area. Executive leadership is based out of the Portland National Support Center in Portland's Lloyd District.
There are nearly 40,000 employees working for Knowledge Universe on three continents and there are approximately 2,000 locations in the United States between multiple brands & an additional 1,000 locations throughout the globe. Knowledge Universe educates 300,000 students daily.

In June 2009, Knowledge Universe acquired UK based Busy Bees Childcare, Ltd. 
The organization annually sponsors the Knowledge Universe Educator of the Year of Award in the United States, where best in class early childhood education teachers are awarded $10,000 for their innovative teaching practices.
