It occasionally takes me some time to notice, but I do always appreciate the help. Thanks for visiting, Hersfold (t/a/c) What I'll generally do on Wikipedia I have been an administrator on the English Language Wikipedia since March 17, 2008 (RfA). In the event you feel I am grossly misusing the tools, I am open to recall through the process I have outlined at User:Hersfold/Recall. Additionally, I am also a member of the Arbitration Committee since January 1, 2010, a checkuser since August 20, 2009, operate the Wiktionary Transwiki bot HersfoldBot, and the OTRS notification bot commons:User:HersfoldOTRSBot on Commons. Most of my work on Wikipedia is done in the background, keeping things running smoothly so that editors can continue to improve the project without disruption. I am a Recent Changes and New Pages patroller, checking for vandalism and inappropriate pages. I've worked with Sebastian to update the coding on WP:UTM to include the tooltip templates he designed, to make using the vandalism warning templates and other frequently used talk page messages much easier. On the more administrative side of things, I review unblock requests regularly, and will often stop by WP:RFPP and WP:PER to see if any protection-related work needs doing. As a checkuser, I'll also investigate sockpuppetry investigations and carry out other checks as needed. I also frequently check the Help Desk and the {{helpme}} category for newcomers and the occasional oldtimer that needs a question answered. I help out whenever I can and will go out of my way to look up answers to questions I don't know. I might as well help myself out in the process, after all.
