I am a Museum Studies graduate student with a background in Social Studies education and Early childhood education. I am now pursuing a career in museum technology with an interest in collections management and the digital humanities. I work for The Children's Museum of Indianapolis as a web content specialist and I am a contributing blogger for the New Media Consortium; Wikipedia-museum collaboration is a central component in both of these positions.
I am very interested in Museum-Wikipedia relations and I have been active in the GLAM-Wiki community for the past two years. Since August 2010 I have served as Wikipedian in Residence at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, a role that I maintain in my current position at the museum.
In 2012, I will be serving as the United States Cultural Partnerships Coordinator for the Wikimedia Foundation. See the official announcement for more information.
[edit] Research interests
I've recently been researching the role of Wikipedia in museum settings, combining my background in social studies education with my work in museum studies and museum technology, considering such things as accessibility, museum education, and 21st century technology skills in museum programming and the sharing of collections information with a broader audience.
My historical research interest centers on Nicholas II and Alexandra, their children (Anastasia, Alexei, Olga, Maria, Tatiana) the fall of the Romanov dynasty and the Russian Revolution. Broader research interests include Victorian Era Europe and America, the Progressive Era and Theodore Roosevelt, and the "End of Old Europe," ie: the events leading into World War I.

My son (Age 3) made up his own song about Wikipedia. Here's a brief snippet.
