aka Jamie Dubs, jdubs, @jamiew
I'm a technologist, hacker & Internet culture enthusiast. I work at the Rocketboom Institute for Internet Studies, where I created Know Your Meme and Mag.ma. I currently live in NYC San Francisco with my wife.
By night I make things with the copyleft Free Art & Technology Lab (F.A.T.), which I cofounded with members of the Graffiti Research Lab and other Eyebeam alumni. "Release early, often, and with rap music."
In Fall 2007 and 2008 I taught the Internet Famous Class in Parsons Design & Technology graduate program, where your grade is a direct function of your internet popularity. Some press coverage: CurrentTV, NBC
Before that I worked at Eyebeam and JPMorganChase among others, and worked at WNYU Radio while I attended New York University. Even farther back I was a very active BeOS enthusiast and co-founded the website BeNews with some good friends in Cottonwood, AZ.
