I'm a faculty member at Alverno College. I hold a Ph.D. in visual culture studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I am a specialist in media studies and public art.
My IUPUI museum studies students created articles about campus public artworks, including GPS coordinates, photographs, references, and a navigation template to index the sculptures. This work developed into WikiProject Public Art. Since moving back to Milwaukee in 2010, I have coordinated the addition of dozens articles and images documenting local public artworks.
My Alverno media studies students are active in WikiProject Lights Camera Wiki creating video illustrations to enhance existing articles dealing with topics in heritage, parks, music, machines, wildlife, and architecture.
I started the following Wikipedia articles:
- List of public art in Milwaukee, my first list!
- Spirit of Commerce by Gustav Haug (1881)
- Snowplow by Mark diSuvero (1968)
- La Grande Vitesse by Alexander Calder (1969)
- Blue Dress Park by Paul Druecke (2000)
- Stratiformis by Jin Soo Kim (2006)
- Pattern by Paula Schulze (2010)
- IUPUI Public Art Collection
