In 2007 I was stricken with Stage 4 Burkitts Lymphoma and now am launching the non-profit getavisionPROJECT http://getavision.org, to assist people living with life-threatening and serious health conditions.

The getavisionPROJECT is a direct outgrowth of my health challenges since late 2005, first testing positive for HIV and more recently battling Stage 4 Burkitt’s Lymphoma since early 2007.

Kasier Permanente’s awesome medical care truely is allowing me to live the KP mantra: THRIVE, while the City of Hope http://www.cityofhope.org and the bone marrow stem cell transplant (BMT) performed there truely infused hope and new life into my bones, blood and spirit!

My experience in battling Burkitt's Lymphoma was both physically and mentally disabling, rendering me helpless in many routine activities we take for granted. But probably the worst part was I LOST MY VISION.

Launching the getavisionPROJECT is in response to my deep-felt need to have a vision for my future and the positive impact my life could ultimately have on the people and the world around me.
