Meh, this page is kinda' outta' date and may not reflect my current views and activities. Maybe I'll freshen it up at some point if gumption and inspiration happen to intersect. --Kevjonesin (talk) 14:41, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Greetings & Hello,

I'm a U.S.A'merican who loves to info-binge by surfing hyperlinks on Wikipedia.

This has, I suppose inevitably, led to forays into editing content as well.

I think I've got the bug. Editing seems to be taking over. Here are my notes on both potential and progressing projects. You're welcome to offer feedback and/or collaboration.

I've recently begun editing images for the WP:Photography workshop and the Commons:Photography workshop.
Here are some of the images I've worked on so far: Commons, Wikipedia.
I mostly edit with the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) a FOSS alternative to Photoshop.
Some images currently wanting attention: Eight Requests, Files for cleanup, Images for cleanup.

Tip of the day...

Your very own Wikipedia bookmark page

With its own link at the top of every page, your user page is as accessible as Wikipedia's Main Page. Because of this, it is your customizable Wikipedia navigation hub. Just place your favorite Wikipedia and external reference links on your user page, and you can access them instantly anytime you want from anywhere on Wikipedia.

For more ideas on how to customize your user page, see Wikipedia's User Page Design Center. There's also a help department there too.

A Wiki Proem, or A Pinch of Purple Proetry[edit]

I stumbled crossing a bridge one day and thought to fill in the gap on which I'd tripped so as to make the way easier for those yet to come this way. Little did I know that lurking below was one who seemed to lay claim to the King's highway merely for having labored in it's construction. As if that which was offered freely as service to the realm was now to serve as title to a common path. Ah, alas alack, the many ways in which a kindly gesture can become arduous tedium when the well intentioned are forced to stop and pay the troll. :  }

p.s."Wo-oah, what I want to know..."
p.p.s. This also covers it.

The above is excerpted from an article's talk page.

How many Wikipedians does it take to screw in a lightbulb?[edit]

A bit of venting...[edit]

It seems to me that all to often on this Wiki the goal of serving the readership gets lost amongst possessiveness and pettifogging between editors. A bunch of prima donna chefs who love cooking but can't be bothered to feed people. What's the point of presentation without one to present it to? :  } --Kevjonesin (talk) 19:17, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

  • Pleasantly, I came across an exception soon after writing the above:
