Welcome! Bienvenue! Добро пожаловать! My name is Kirill Lokshin, and I'm a Wikipedian.
I was born in Saint Petersburg and currently reside near Washington, D.C. Professionally, I'm an engineer, helping to design and build ground systems for satellites and other spacecraft. Over the years, I've supported a variety of missions, including OSTM/Jason-2, HTV-1, and numerous others.
I first edited Wikipedia in June 2005, and became an administrator in October of the same year. As an editor, my main area of interest has been military history, although I've dabbled in other topics as well. I have significantly contributed to a number of articles:

From February 2006 to February 2008, I served as the lead coordinator of the Military history WikiProject; having stepped down from that position, I was elected coordinator emeritus in September 2008, and have since continued to serve in that capacity.
I was elected to a three-year term on the Arbitration Committee in December 2006, and served as the coordinating arbitrator from January 2009 until my resignation from the committee that July. I was elected to a second, two-year term on the committee in December 2009, and re-elected to another two-year term in December 2011.
In May 2011, I helped found Wikimedia District of Columbia. Since that time, I've served on the chapter's Board of Directors, holding the position of Secretary.
