Adventures in Moving

I was born in San Jose, California, where I resided, near the Rose Garden District, until I was about 16.
At that time, near August of 2003, my mom decided it would be fun for our family to move to California's Central Valley. She picked Modesto (a largely agricultural city, and that is where we moved.
We lived in Modesto for roughly 9 months, at which point my parents started their divorce, and I took off on my own for San Francisco.

Since then, I've lived in a few different towns around the country:

Career

As for what I want to do with my life... I'm not entirely sure yet.

I love Linux and system administration... but I also have a strong attraction to the field of Psychology... Specifically, the effects of Psychoactives on the human brain, and all things relating to Autism.

I want to go to school for the Psychology bits, but I'm not sure what kind of career I would pursue after that was done... So I may still rely on my tech savvy.

I'd also like to get some certifications from CompTIA (A+, NET+), and possibly move in to the field of audio engineering, though those certs don't really correlate.

A recent development (not so much on the recent, actually) is an interest in law enforcement.
A relative of mine is a Sgt. in the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department, and he gave me some information on getting in to their department.

But, for now, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority is giving me my paychecks. I drive a 40 foot Gillig coach around the county... It's a job.

Some of my interests, in depth...

I'm a pretty genuine geek of many trades... but I do have a non geek side to me as well.

I also like going to clubs and parties where electronica is the main genre of music.
Along those lines, I'm an EDM (electronic dance music) DJ. (See my lame record collection.)

I've been getting myself more and more addicted to television (an evil thing).

Some shows that have caught my interest:

• Doctor Who (New and Old) and Torchwood
• The Boondocks

I also really love to go bicycling and walking/hiking, though I don't have much time to do the first one. (I love my Bianchi.)

Musically I like pretty much anything.
Electronica is a big one with me, but I also like everything ranging from Musicals like Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Phantom of the Opera (and I prefer the original Broadway recording of Hedwig and Webber's original London cast for The Phantom.) to things like David Bowie, Talking Heads (thanks dad!) and Tears for Fears (I love New Wave).

I also briefly mentioned being a dog person...
My favourite breed of dog is Dobermann (Or Doberman Pinscher / Dobie). I've had several of them in the past few years.
I also like German Shepards and Siberian Huskys.
