I prefer to limit my own contributions, due to lack of time to properly research said contributions. Instead, I would rather clear up mistakes in other articles to improve their clarity and scholarly quality. My frequent targets include unneeded information and useless trivia posing as important facts.

[edit] Opinions and Foolishness
While I understand the hesitance of professional scholars and academics to use or accept wikipedia, I feel it is short-sighted and irresponsible to remove ourselves from it completely. First of all, the democratization of academia has been ongoing, and this is but one phase, which we must come to grips with. Second, this is the means of the dissemination of information for much of the populace. We must either harness it, or be prepared to contend with it. Finally, we cannot complain about it whilst we have the opportunity to use it, and to direct it, with our own contributions.
My excessive and persistent need to read has endowed him with very strong opinions about speculative fiction and literature. Much like authors David Brin and Michael Moorcock, I am disdainful of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien as the be-all and end-all of fantasy.
[edit] Bragging About Minor Accomplishments
I have been published in Dragon Magazine, the magazine for D&D enthusiasts. I've also been published as a journalist, as well. I also collect rejection slips from Fantasy and SF magazines. I am the junior editor of Hinsight, a graduate history journal at Fresno State.
