Hello, and welcome to my user page!

My name is Marc-Alexandre; I often go by the name of Laogeodritt on internet communities. I am a student currently living in Québec, Canada, and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

My interests and activities are quite varied, spanning the sciences to the arts. They include fiction and writing, music (performance, especially in orchestra, as well as composition), electrical/computer/mechanical engineering (and related hobbyist projects), particle physics and astrophysics, low-level biology and biochemistry, linguistics, computer science, programming and web design, drawing, anime and manga, martial arts (primarily kendo, iaido, kyūdō), and others.

While I am not part of any major project nor have I contributed significantly to Wikipedia, I have long used it as a primary source of general information. I don't usually undertake significant editing or article-writing projects. Instead, I copy editing, WikiGnoming as I browse Wikipedia, translate articles from Wikipedia in other languages, etc.

I highly value good grammar, spelling, punctuation and style and consider it essential to effective communication and respectable appearance.
