FuzzFind is a web metasearch engine that combines results from the major search engines (Google, Yahoo and Bing) and social bookmarking sites (del.icio.us).

History[edit]

FuzzFind first launched in 2008 with results from Google, Yahoo and Live Search) and del.icio.us [1] [2]. A revamped version was launched in 2009 that replaced Live Search with Bing when the latter was introduced as a replacement for the former.

Technical Details[edit]

  • When a search query is entered, FuzzFind combines results from the major search engines i.e. Google, Yahoo and Bing.
  • Matching results are retrieved from the social bookmarking site del.icio.us to determine the popularity and tagging of each result.
  • The results are sorted according to the importance of each source, which is searcher can personalize by dragging sliders. [3]
  • Related news, images and search terms are also displayed along with the web search results.
