My belief is that Wikipedia is one of the most important website in the Internet, and one of the greatest achievements of humanity. I enjoy technical writing, so many of my edits involve making small fixes to articles. My main interest are sports (association football) and history articles. In the news [1] I was searching Google, and found my username in a newspaper in Spanish (El Grafico of Chile). Apparently, they were covering a dispute in the Spanish Wikipedia over the name for Bicycle Kick. The report is wrong in many levels: It claims me and User:Arafael were pushing for the name "chalaca". Truth: We were objecting for the NPOV term "Tijera". It claims we canvassed using a public source outside of Wikipedia. Truth: We had nothing to do with it. Nonetheless, despite the report's errors, it remains a fun annecdote to be mentioned in an online newspaper. Ultimately, what prevailed in the discussion was the majority vote of Chilean users. They have a better organization, and they use it to push their POV. But that's the issue with the Spanish Wikipedia. Hopefully someday it will be fixed. Our English Wikipedia is, I think, better than that.
