[edit] Early Life
Born January, 8, 1972, Mark grew up in several Pittsburgh communities, settling in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania (south of Pittsburgh) upon entering the third grade and spent weekends with his father in Bethel Park. Time was also spent with maternal grandparents in West Mifflin, PA.

Mark graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School (Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania) in 1990.
Graduation from Community College of Allegheny County's (CCAC) South Campus with an Associates of Science with a concentration in theater followed in 1993. While at CCAC, Mark had his profile published in the US Achievement Academy College Yearbook 1993 edition. While at CCAC, Mark co-authored a one-act play entitled "The Nine Lives of Love." Some time later, the play was produced as a student show at Thomas Jefferson High School.
Finally, he graduated from Point Park College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film & Video Production. Concurrent with attending Point Park College, his film classes were conducted through Pittsburgh Filmmakers.

After graduation, Mark began working with Baldwin High School (Pennsylvania) (BHS) as the technical director for their theater department. (1996 - 1999) While there, Mark saw his tech crew nominated at the 1999 Gene Kelly Awards for Best Technical Crew Execution for the show Oklahoma!.
Following his employment with BHS, Mark entered the professional office work force of Greater Pittsburgh. Companies from his resume include the law firms Thompson, Calkins & Sutter, Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, advertising agency Blattner Brunner, title company LandAmerica OneStop, corporate lending institution Bank of New York Mellon, title company BCHH Inc, and eventually QBE Insurance as of February 14, 2011 - where he is currently (last updated October 17, 2011) employed.
Additionally, as of July, 2009, Mark has become an Independant Business Owner affiliated with LTD.

As a kind of hobby, Mark had remained peripherally active in local theater and filmmaking. Among his fine arts credits include:
- a grip for Universal Pictures' Sudden Death (film) in 1994
- An extra in Universal Pictures' The Assassination File in 1996
- Governor Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing for ACT NOW in 1997
- crew chief for Threepenny Opera for the Penn Avenue Theater in 2000
- Mortimer in The Fantasticks for the Penn Avenue Theater in 2001
- Quentin Krugh in the Michael Sutton play the saving of billy b. for Cloven Hoof Productions in 2002
- Pilate (understudy) in Jesus Christ Superstar for the Comtra Theater in 2003
- assistant camera and general film crew for David Dalessandro's independent film The 43rd Annual Stone Lion Writer’s Conference
- an extra in Dreamworks' She's Out of My League, filmed in 2008 - released in 2010.

Mark was a founding member and, later, a board member of the community theater/youth group ACT NOW based in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania. With them, Mark participated in the production of three shows.
- Ali Baba & the Forty Thieves - an original show by P. David Hummon and Amy Heather Alvord produced in 1995. Appeared as Abu Baka.
- Jesus Christ Superstar in 1996. Appeared as Peter.
- Much Ado About Nothing in 1997. Appeared as Leonato and served as Technical Director.
Part of the appeal and mystique of the ACT NOW company was that rehearsals would be held all summer at a location other than the rented auditorium at Thomas Jefferson High School. The company would then have access to the auditorium for a single day, coming in early in the morning to build the set, run a technical rehearsal, open the show for a single performance, then strike the set that same evening.
Additionally, Mark worked with Kennywood's Phantom Fright Nights every year since its inception in 2002. He had been a member of the cast, and in latter years part of the management of, the Mortem's Manor attraction, which has the distinction of winning the title "Best Haunt" in the park 6 out of 8 voting years. It was at this attraction that Mark began using one of his trademark sayings, "I Said Boo." It has evolved into something of a rallying cry for the staff. He was also the voice of the parrot at Captain Skully's Revenge. He plans on returning again for the 2012 Phantom Fright Nights season.
Starting in 2011, Mark became associated with the Pittsburgh R&B artist Ambition, appearing in two of his music videos: She Wanna, and Blow It Up.
