Chrome Underwood is an avatar in the virtual world of Second Life. He is the main focus of a webcomic called mojozone, and keeps a journal of his adventures on his blogsite, Chrome Never Sleeps. He is the leader of a group of avatar-artist-activists who have devoted their lives to using their creative wits in order to reach the humans behind their fellow avatars and make them aware of the fact that they've been turned into virtual zombies by the very technology they are immersed in. This is 'griefing' with a mission.

Chrome and his band of merry art jesters meet daily to plan acts of 'creative warfare' on the virtual world, and indirectly on the physical world. They set out at night by motorcycle, on foot, by jetpack, etc., to rez into being startling acts of truth, portrayed in vivid and even shocking terms; truth that empowers, liberates.. In no uncertain terms, these artists believe that art is more powerful than any mindlag, colorfully illustrating the old saying that the pen is mightier than the sword. The street is where that claim is tested.. sometimes in extremely dangerous ways.
