Yes this is the real Nick Carson, change agent, radio presenter, student and volunteer caught up in a number of non-profit community groups and organisations. Since early 2010 I have been editing, co-producing and presenting Beyond Zero Emissions radio show on 3CR Melbourne. I contribute to some highly pretentious contemporary sonic groups and am a very keen advocate for sustainability, democracy and peace.

In 2010 I ran as the Greens candidate for the Victorian state seat of Doncaster, campaigning heavily on public transport and planning issues. I have also been an organiser of several community actions in Melbourne on renewable energy, climate change, corporate greed, democracy and free education amongst other things. In late September 2011 I was part of the first wave of people to bring the global Occupy Movement to Australia and am now involved primarily in Occupy Melbourne's Facilitation and Media Working Groups.

I have been awarded a Certificate II in Arts (2003), a Diploma of Architectural Drafting (2006), a Diploma of Sustainability (2010), and currently study Sound Art at RMIT. I occasionally contribute articles to independent media and am also an editor at Greenlivingpedia.org. My personal website can be found here.
