Phil Wardle is a teacher at Merchant Taylors' Junior Boys School in Crosby, Liverpool. Born in Lytham St Anne's on 29th November 1960, he moved to Derby in the early 60s, moving to West Derby, a village near Liverpool, following the death of his father.
