The overall design of Wikipedia is now what I always wished it would be. When Wikipedia began, the only way you could edit was to use wiki markup, a code which was useable once you learned how to, thought there was a learning curve, that could discourage new users. This short essay was about how I thought this could be improved mostly in the areas usability and editing. I listed some details of what those could be... I was very happy that the VisualEditor was eventually introduced as a quicker and easier way to edit.

This essay was archived 2014 and has ideas about:

Guidelines, Appearance and Simplicity, Editing, Browsing and Reading, Language Versions, Article Attributes, Article History, Categories, Glossaries and Lists, Chronology and Locations, Outlines, Overviews and Portals, Search and Results, Talk, Wiki Markup
