Like my username here, my standard internet callsign is "RadicalOne", for reasons too long and convoluted to explain here. Only in the rather infrequent cases in which that is taken do I use an alternate, usually "1RadicalOne" - as I do on, say, YouTube. I am devoted to acquiring knowledge, with various sciences being my primary foci of interest. In addition, much of the information about me can be gleaned from the admittedly extensive Userbox sidebar.
I have been using Wikipedia for years, though it was only fairly recently that I have been actively contributing to the database. I log in daily, almost without exception. I have an extensive list of watched pages, and I faithfully check it, and, in the process, I catch a great deal of vandalism, something I treat harshly. I am indeed rather active but not obsessive on Wikipedia; I spent ≈1800 seconds taking the Wikipediholism test and scored 950031 out of a possible 796328829. I have no desire to become a moderator or administrator. I consider myself a member of the Wikipedia community, though I dislike the term "Wikipedian"; I've been called many things - one of the most notable was "Annunaki" (do NOT call me that with association to the conspiracy theory) - but "Wikipedian", while understandable, sounds rather childish.
I am most assuredly not one who would be categorized as "typical", being different from essentially every human on this planet. My aforementioned scientific interest notwithstanding, I differ in taste from next to everyone I know, both in "real" life, and, to a lesser extent, digitally. Below are a few examples:
I never have understood - and likely never will - exactly what there is to like about such musical categories as "pop", "classical", and especially "rock", though orchestral arrangements of rock sometimes are promising.
I do not see what others apparently do in mammalian pets - indeed, I am utterly incompatible with most; For example, I cannot be in the same room as a dog, or both parties will sustain injury. Others, such as cats, will not go out of their way to attack me, but I still would not want to be in close proximity. I instead prefer reptilian and aquatic pets, with snakes being my favorite. I love Echo, my Corn Snake. Of the aquatic animals I like, almost all are fish - mostly tropical - and am in fact looking into a batch of "GloFish".
I generally do not play games; I prefer to dismantle them and customize the data. For that reason, some of my favorites include SimCity, 18 Wheels of Steel, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, Xpand Rally, and the like. I do in fact play those four - and others - at times, but more often than not I simply edit ("mod") them.
I watch all of these articles, and will edit them in a heartbeat if I so desire. The list conveys, at least in part, some of my fields of interest. Bolded ones are ones for which I consider myself a major contributor as opposed to a casual editor.
