Daughters of Daksha, who were wives of Kashyapa
Kashyapa is a sage, with whom 13 daughters of Daksha were married. All living beings are said to originate as the children of Kashyapa and his wives.
- Aditi: Aditi is mother of the Devas (gods). Her sons are called Adityas ("sons of Aditi"). The Mahabharata describes 33 sons were born to Aditi. 12 Adityas, the 11 Rudras and 8 Vasus.
