- I'm working on Wikipedia for over five years now (mostly films, music and sports) and I've held the rollback rights for about 3 of them. I had it revoked because I had a dispute with an admin over an article and received a ban - which I still think was a total joke because he was at fault - about half a year ago. With one ban in five years and no other problems on Wikipedia whatsoever, I think I 'm still more then qualified to have the rollback right. Best regards, --DasallmächtigeJ (talk) 23:39, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- Pinging @Only:, who removed this earlier this year. — xaosflux Talk 13:14, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- Personally I'd lean no based on the "which I still think was a total joke because he was at fault" comment. Daniel Case denied the unblock per WP:NOTTHEM, and I feel like it's still applying here. The comment suggests that you don't quite see that using rollback in this situation was wrong. I'll let others make the final call, though. only (talk) 14:02, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
Not done. I was looking at this earlier today in the hope that another admin would make a decision. I came to the conclusion that with only 200 or so edits to mainspace in the last 10 months there is no real demonstration that his participation has improved. Perhaps after another 6 months & 200 more edits without any issues and he can apply again. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 14:37, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- I don't run into serial vandalism all that often. But when I do, manual removal of an extensive earlier entry is time consuming, and occasionally incomplete. I would like to have this feature simply for the convenience and efficiency it provides. I don't think that my edit history will reveal any likelihood that I might abuse this privilege. - This tool will be useful for me to remove vandalism, specially in Sri Lanka related articles.-- ShehanW talk 06:14, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
Not done You've got plenty of mainspace edits, but I see little evidence of actual counter-vandalism. We need more examples to be ensured you can correctly identify what constitutes vandalism. You should also try to warn the users after reverting their changes. Twinkle offers several functions to expedite this. Check out WP:CVU to learn more, and if you'd like, you can enroll in the Counter Vandalism Academy. — MusikAnimal talk 20:03, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
- I need this right to rollback vandalism. I am new in English Wiki, but I have this right and 3 mounths experience in Russian Wikipedia, and I know all rules. Ochilov (talk) 08:25, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
Not done Unfortunately while policies may be similar over there, I have no way of judging your ability to identify unconstructive edits because I can't read Russian :( Similarly we need to be convinced your English is good enough to not misconstrue constructive edits as unconstructive, etc. I'd say get some good examples on this wiki with a few weeks of activity and then re-apply. — MusikAnimal talk 19:53, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
- I am reverting vandalism using Twinkle. But it is difficult to spot vandalism with Twinkle. With Huggle, it is much easier to spot vandalism and I will be much more efficient in my counter-vandalism efforts. My first request was denied over 15 days ago, but now I have gained a lot more experience in reverting vandalism. In the meantime, I have got my first DYK too. IEditEncyclopedia (talk) 11:09, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
Done Solid counter-vandalism activity since your last request, correctly issuing warnings to users. Looks good! Just be careful with Huggle and STiki, don't go too fast :) — MusikAnimal talk 19:59, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

- I constantly see vandalism of this nature that would be much more easily corrected with this user right. StewdioMACK (talk) 14:16, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hello. I know that I only have about 200 mainspace edits, but I have done a significant amount of vandalism reversion and I always issue warnings. I currently use the ClueBot NG IRC feed (ClueNet: #cluebotng-spam) to find vandalism, but a tool like Huggle or Igloo will definitely increase my speed and accuracy of anti-vandalism. Notice: a proposal to change the technical implementation of this group's permissions is being held at WP:VPR. |
- Experienced Wikipedian running the wikipedia side of the workshop described at Wikipedia talk:GLAM/National Digital Forum. Need permissions for the day and preferably at least 72 hours prior to have a look around the interface and so we're not seeing it for the interface first time in the heat of the moment. (Be aware that we're GMT+13 so our 'on the day' is unusual.) Stuartyeates (talk) 06:35, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
Done Will remove after the event. Please note, this permission has a few extra rights we trust you to not misuse, you may override blacklist or spoofing but only if you are confident that the account name is appropriate and a false positive for spoofing (per WP:USERNAME). — xaosflux Talk 13:42, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

- The event was run apparently successfully. I didn't end up needing the rights, but thank you for granting them in case I did. Stuartyeates (talk) 19:08, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Less experienced Wikipedian organising the workshop described at Wikipedia talk:GLAM/National Digital Forum. Fail-over for the above. (Be aware that we're GMT+13 so our 'on the day' is unusual.) @Giantflightlessbirds: you probably want to sign below saying you want these permissions. Stuartyeates (talk) 06:35, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- {{onhold}} Pending acknowledgement by Giantflightlessbirds (sign below), and acceptance of condition that you may ONLY use this right for overriding the creation throttle, not the blacklist or anti-spoofing system. — xaosflux Talk 13:42, 30 October 2014 (UTC) (15:59, 6 November 2014 (UTC))
- {{onhold}} Pending requested start dates. — xaosflux Talk 12:56, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

- {{notdone}} Never acknowledged by user, may be re-requested if desired. This event already as one account creator assigned, Stuartyeates, and you can still create up to 6 accounts per day without this flag. — xaosflux Talk 15:06, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

- Hello, On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Bangla Wikipedia, we will be hosting and arranging a series of activities throughout Bangladesh to celebrate the anniversary as well as conduct outreach programs and university workshops throughout November, December and January. For this purpose, tomorrow we are going to arrange a workshop at State University of Bangladesh where i need to create mass accounts before starting the program. Thanks! ~ Nahid Talk 13:47, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

- Hi, I'm a trainer for Wikimedia UK, currently trying to create an account for people taking part in the training session at NIMR, I used to have this permission and was unaware I had it revoked. Thanks Mrjohncummings (talk) 12:18, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
Done Account Creator gets removed if you dont use it for a while. — xaosflux Talk 21:41, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Xaosflux: The event seems to have ended, Mrjohncummings has not created any accounts since March of '12 and is not involved in ACC. Mlpearc (open channel) 17:46, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Mrjohncummings:, do you have a special need for this in enwiki? It should only even be an issue if you are creating more than 6 accounts per day or on blocked addresses. — xaosflux Talk 18:08, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- I'm active in the WP:ACC process and I'm requesting the account creator permission in order to be able to further my involvement with it. I'm hitting the six account limit frequently, and I'd like to be able to help clear the list when it starts getting backed up. I'd also like to be able to help resolve requests where the account is similar to another. I will strictly follow all rules and guidelines stated in the ACC guide with creating accounts, and I will reference the flowchart in the guide when handling requests with similar accounts. If the deciding administrator has any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to talk to me. Thanks :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 17:01, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
