Since 1881 baseball has been played at Ohio State. The team has an overall record of 2,153 – 1,382 – 38 (.608) through the end of the 2006 season. They won a national championship in 1966 and were runners-up in 1965. They have 14 Big Ten regular season championships, 18 Big Ten tournament appearances, and 7 Big Ten tournament championships.<ref name="quick facts">

The men's baseball team plays in Bill Davis Stadium, which was constructed in 1997. It seats 4,450 and was named after the stepson of a benefactor who donated $1.5 million for its construction.
