Hi, I'm Steven. I've been a Wikipedian since August 2006. Since 2010 I've been a staff member in the Community Department of the Wikimedia Foundation, where I work on research projects and community organizing that helps everyone in the movement understand and improve the way the community fulfills our mission.
Before moving from Portland, Oregon to San Francisco, I was an active member of the monthly Portland WikiWednesday meet-up, and I've also contributed to the blog for WikiProject Oregon. Prior to working with Wikimedia, I was a professional writer and blogger.
