After on my own part carefully having avoided creation of a user page for several years, someone else decided to take matters into their own hands. (Grrr, Bletchley... ;^)

But since it's here now, I'll take the opportunity to say one thing: I do not ever want to be an administrator any more than I ever wanted to have a user page. I'm not interested in politicking or status or prestige in the WP community and I don't have those sort of control issues; I'm pretty much just here to improve Wikipedia and occasionally to socialize. (To you admins who actually became admins because you're genuinely willing and enthusiastic about doing more work on the many tedious tasks necessary to keep WP going, kudos.)
