Yoon Ha Lee (born January 26, 1979 in Houston, Texas) is a Korean American science fiction and fantasy author.[1] Since her first sale in 1999, she has published short fiction in Fantasy & Science Fiction, Clarkesworld, Lightspeed magazine and elsewhere. Three of her stories have been reprinted in Gardner Dozois's The Year's Best Science Fiction. Dozois wrote that Lee is "one of those helping to move science fiction into the twenty-first century. [2]

Aliette de Bodard wrote about "Ghostweight" (Clarkesworld, January 2011), describing it as "Wonderful from beginning to end." [3] "Ghostweight" was also nominated for the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award, a Locus Award, and was reprinted in two "Year's Best" anthologies [4]

Lee lives in Pasadena, California with her husband and daughter. [5]
