Van Taylor has entertained all over the world at various Resorts and Embassies for over 30 years. He is a songwriter, and owner of Van Taylor Production music publishing company, and TM International an Internet music distributor company. In 2008 Van Taylor and the band Taylor Made Jazz celebrated it’s 21st anniversary by donating proceeds to National Inner City Youth Opportunities and Student Against Violence Education. In 2009 Van Taylor organized and produced(http://concertfromtheheart.ning.com/) “Concert From The Heart” along with Ron Daniels president of AFM local 92, this was the 1st cross genre concert in Buffalo New York. This Concert brought together classical, jazz, Big Band Rhythm and Blues musicians to benefit the Food bank of Western New York, and the Buffalo City Mission. The concert feature the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra performing with Taylor Made Jazz Concert Band, The Legendary Entertainer Lance Diamond, the Old School B Boys, The Mark Mazur Big little Band and from the(http://www.coloredmusiciansclub.org) Historic Colored Musicians Club the George Scott Big Band . The groups involved were The Exoutics, Tom Browne, The SOS Band and Norman Connors. Van was also asked to write the theme song for Walk off Hunger for the Foodbank of Western New York which was held at Temple Beth AM August 1 2009(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3i7BPQMddyU). In 2010 Van co wrote the music to a video to support the Foodbank of western New york produced by Richie Derwald called "Reach Out" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYJREsQ9xv0) this video aired in the Dipson Theatres and various TV station in the WNY area.
Over the course of 30 years Van has helped educate hundreds of musicians, (http://vantaylor56.multiply.com/photos/album/4/Music_In_The_Schools_Buffalo_NY,Rochesters_NY,Fort_Erie_Canada) and thousands of children with musical workshops, and has provided shows for over a hundred thousand members of our U.S. troops, their families and our allies by lifting their spirits and morale with musical performances. Van has produced several successful artists, and many of his music students have opened their own businesses with their own bands, creating hundreds of jobs and providing uplifting entertainment for our US service men and women. During the 1980's Van Was a member of the Buffalo Junior Chamber of Commerce during the Griffins Years (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_D._Griffin), Van Helped by playing piano at various functions and parties to support the jaycees community efforts(http://www.buffalojaycees.org/Community%20Development.htm)During the 1980's UST Topaze were leaders in the R&B entertainment industry in western New York and Southern Ontario.Members of Van group UST Topaze were noted for supplying vocal support for the artist Rick James 1st hit album called Come Get Album (http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-23196633.html). Recently the group UST Topaze had a Reunion in Buffalo New York March 12 2011 with another R&B Legends groups The Exoutics Lead by Ron Walker to benefit the family of Marvin Valentine. (http://challengercn.com/?p=1477) U.S.T. Topaze had Several records on the BCMK label owned by Tommy Calandra. The group manager and publisher was Van Taylor. Their Chief engineer was Mike Brydalski. They recorded the Song Keep me happy which went to number 1 on the regional charts on the Sheridan Broadcast network 1980 which included the soul gosple station WUFO 1080 AM, Keep the beat which charted on southern radio stations,and Our Love has gone on the Air waves album. Van released the song A Nice Day as a single which air first on the BBC in England then later on WBLK 93.7 Buffalo during the Budwiser show down. The song was released internationally to over 200 radio station around the world and has become a summer time favorite , the song was also featured during the Concert from the heart benefit and performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1987 Van produced a hit television dance show called (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGF4pnhe-mo) “City rhythm” the show aired on fox super station wnyb49. It featured, regional artist performing original music and national artist just getting started and dancer grooving to newly released songs. Van is a former board member of the Buffalo media resource group “Squeaky Wheels” . During the 1990's Van Worked Internationally with Professor Armando Moreno the president of "FIDOF"the International Federation of Festival Organizations, a Global initiative to support peace and harmony through Music

Van is currently a board member for the (http://www.buffalomusic.org)Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, a 501c3 organization he was inducted into the hall of fame in 1998. He also serves as a Sponsorship Coordinator for the Historic Colored Musicians Club of Buffalo NY which is a Historical Landmark in Buffalo NY, the oldest African-American 501c3 Jazz Institution in the United States. This organization provides free music lessons for children in the community; they support Big Band Jazz and various small Jazz, Blues and R&B Bands. Their museum will open in 2010. He also helped Organize and serves as a co-sponsor for their annual Queen City Jazz Festival, which is holds its 5th annual festival on the last Saturday in July in Downtown at 145 Broadway Buffalo, NY 14203. Van has served as a conference speaker on the business of music and marketing and international touring as a panelist to many music educational seminars and conferences over the years. During the late 1980s early 1990s Van served as regional conference coordinator for the Minnesota Black Music expo, Supported the International Association of African American Music and Coordinated the Western New York Music conference, He also served as Panelist on many music conferences including the Toronto Music Conference, in 2009 Speaker for the Niagara Music Forum ST Catherines Ontario Canada Van was a consultant to Mr. Bill Bradberry, former City Administrator of Niagara Falls 2006, 2007, on event music sponsorship, concert coordination and the Ontario House Jazz Reunion to enhance tourism in Niagara Falls, NY.
