Hello World!
My name is Jonathan de Ferranti and my year of birth is 1957. My e-mail address, and more about me, can be found on my home page. My main interests are hiking and topographic research. My favorite quotes are "live and let live" and "the free flow of knowledge is strength". Economic theory tells us that the general interest is best served when price is based on cost of reproduction. It follows that what can be reproduced cheaply should be priced accordingly.

[edit] Miscellaneous thoughts
- With most legends, it's what we want to believe that counts. [2]
- The world looks with some awe upon a man who appears unconcernedly indifferent to home, money, comfort, rank, or even power and fame. The world feels not without a certain apprehension, that here is some one outside its jurisdiction; someone before whom its allurements may be spread in vain; some one strangely enfranchised, untamed, untrammelled by convention, moving independent of the ordinary currents of human action. Winston Churchill
