The Name

I am Teh Vulpa, aka (fairly rarely) Hyperfox. Why? Well, as those readers among you with evolved vocabularies will no doubt know, "vulpine" refers to foxes, as much as "corvine" does to crows or "bovine" to cattle. Indeed, vulpes vulpes is the Latin name of the standard red fox. The fox, coincidentally, is what I consider to be my spirit animal. Thusly, I formed my online alias from its Latin roots.

In reality, I'm no less fantastic of a girl than my online alias. ;) My actual name is Rebekah; I'm of this edit a 16-year-old high school junior in semi-rural New York. My curriculum emphasis is on the studies of literature, as I intend to attend college with the aim of attaining a degree in mass communication/journalism (day job) and general literature (novel-writing). I play tennis (generally doubles but often singles as well), am an amateur archer (traditional) and photographer, speak rudimentary Spanish, and am fairly comfortable on the piano. Honestly though, I prefer listening to music (so long as it's not metal or rap) than playing it. Books are more my thing anyway: realistic-fantasy and sci-fi, mostly, although I'm open to anything but bios. That and drawing, but only with a pencil or charcoal; giving me paint results only in a mess, not art. I'm also quite good at any videogame made after the eighties... my all-time favorite is Oblivion (TES), although Mass Effect, Metro 2033, Gears of War, COD, Halo, Mirrors Edge, Dead Space, DAO, and others-I'll-think-of-and-add-later were all quite good. Um, let's see, what else.... I'm an only child, I'm right-handed although mostly left-brained... I like animals more than people... and, um... oh, I'm an INFP on the MBTI scale.... Yeah that mostly covers me-- ooh wait and my favorite color is orange (as Peeta puts it, the orange of a sunset, or perhaps a little darker).
