Suki's Own Little Experiments^^

My name is Suki. For many years I believed in the s-s theory(stimulus-stimulus theory) of classical conditioning as opposed to s-r theory(stimulus-response theory). But I don't believe that you can understand it perfectly without a 'human' guinea pig(personally). So I took the liberty of trying out my own little experiment on an unbenounced husband. We'll call him 'A'. I chose a part of his body for the CS(Conditioned Stimulus), that while stimulated(caressed), normally had a relaxing effect. Instead of the usual visual/hearing stimulus used on animals. My ultimate goal was to see if I could condition a sexual response, where there was none, instead of the regular 'relaxed/sleepy' effect. Sorry Pavlov, no bells and food in this experiment.

Step 1: I started off by, in the middle of 'whoopie'(US also known as Unconditioned Stimulus), caressing his CS for 1 month(not straight of course!).

Step 2: Then after 1 month, in relaxed settings(while watching tv or reading), i would reach over and caress his CS. Now I know what you're thinking. Because he's human he has a better mind than a dog or rat with possibility of critical thinking. And it's true. Instead of having a sexual response to it, he took it as that I was 'in the mood'. I thought that I would never be able to condition him because of his critical thinking process but I still stuck it out. He was never sexually responsive for just the CS alone but would make himself 'in the mood' for me.

Step 3: So I went back to Step 1 for another 2 monthes.

Step 4: Now instead of in relaxed settings like in Step 2, where 'A' had a chance to critically think and analyze the situation, I went for the opposite. Situations, where we were in public or times when he was talking on the phone. ie. Where his mind was distracted.

Results: And sure enough, the last time I tried it, he sexually responded immediately(ie. erection). He had no chance to analyze how my 'mood' was and immediately responded sexually to it. Instead of associating the CS with the idea that sex was impending, he was stimulated because it was associated with the concept of sex.

Now that I have to do some Backward Conditioning so that he's not stimulated in awkward situations(that would be bad, *laughs*). Hence why I haven't said what his CS was. It makes me wonder what other things he could be conditioned for... sorry 'A'! You know I luv ya!
