[edit] NPoV
Hello! Wikipedia articles must adopt a neutral point of view, which (combined with the need to write in the style of an encyclopædia), means that adding evaluative terms like "stunning" to mentions of DVDs, etc., isn't allowed. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 17:34, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Exponential growth
Hello. Two small comments:
- If you write "See also technological singularity", I don't think the initial "T" should be capitalized. You don't need to capitalize a letter merely because it's the first letter of a link; the first letter, unlike the later letters, is case-insensitive.
- The statement is misleading in that it may leave an impression in the reader's mind that exponential growth leads to singularities. In fact, such a singularity -- a vertical asymptote -- can happen only if the growth is not exponential. It definitely has to be faster than exponential growth to have such a singularity. And here's the really serious problem: the way you phrased it could actually play into the popular error that "exponential growth" merely means extremely or surprisingly fast growth, whereas a major purpose of the article is to say that that is incorrect.

[edit] Re:List of countries by system of government
Yes, but please do not make dramatic mass deletions of content until you have discussed on the talk page. Note that the article lists "system of government" and not "form of government". --Jiang 11:58, 21 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Portal:Wissenschaft
You added a link on Portal:Science to de:Portal:Wissenschaft, which is a page that does not exist. I've looked at the list of portals on de: and it does not seem that there is one that corresponds to Portal:Science. If you do come across it, please do add the correct link. Thanks! - Samsara 16:31, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Area 51
Over at Area 51 you added "Since 1982, the Northrop Tacit Blue experimental JSTARS aircraft was tested here." I'm confused, because Tacit Blue is a stealth technology demonstrator and JSTARS is an entirely unrelated command-and-control aircraft. Which do you mean (or do you mean both)? Also, can you site a source which says these aircraft were tested at Groom? -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 18:55, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Image- FRA fernbf1.jpg
|
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Image- FRA fernbf1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 19:44, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:FRA_fernbf1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] European Council
The European Council is not a distinct body. Your possibly thinking of the Council of Europe. josh (talk) 15:57, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
From the EU site
- The European Council gathers together the Heads of State or Government of the Member States of the European Union and the President of the Commission. It came into being in 1974 and was given formal status by the Single European Act.
The bottom of the article also mentions the Council of Europe stating that it is seperate from the EU itself. josh (talk) 16:05, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion nomination of Driver drowsiness detection
A tag has been placed on Driver drowsiness detection, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
