[edit] Hemshin

I would appreciate some support in dealing with Omer's propagandising and attempts to own the Hemshin people article. Or have you decided to abandon it? Meowy 20:37, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

I've added some comments on Omer's editing style on the article's talk page. You might like to make some comments there too. Meowy 02:25, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sarmad

Hello Hakob! I just wanted to thank you for your addition of the Armenian-Indian and Armenian-Iranian tags to the page, thereby contributing to our knowledge of the wonder that was Sarmad's life while also being inclusive of its complexity. I hope you'll come back and continue to contribute. Thanks! Gershonw (talk) 18:01, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 'Fooian Armenians'

I agree with you everything you ve said, that this same naming scheme, an wholly appropriate one (lexically) pattern-wise, should be applied to describe people who are of non-partial Armenian ethnicity in most other countries, and that there should be Category:Turks of Armenian descent etc. for those of partial Armenian descent. And I suppose Category:Fooian Armenians is fine instead of Category:Fooian Armenian people - the supra category page is Category:Armenian people is clear so the sub-category pages can be more abbreviated. I wondering about Americans of full Armenian descent and the like in countries in the Americas and northern Europe - some individuals may be members of communities that maintain Armenian culture similar to those in the M.E. and S.E. Europe - others may not. I guess there should not be, say, Category:British Armenians (?) Mayumashu (talk) 01:23, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Actually, as long as the individuals are of full Armenian descent, no matter what generation American or British, it would be fine to have Category:American Armenians, Category:British Armenians etc. (That the Armenian 'America hay' refers to Americans of full Armenian ethnicity but tranlates to the American English 'Armenian-American(s)', which can be Americans of either full or partial Armenian ethnicity, needs to be ignored, doesn t it)

- I d support extending your template to any country, and having Category:British Armenians as a sub-category of Category:British people of Armenian descent, the later just for Britons of partial Armenian descent, as you suggested for Lebanese on the CfD discussion page earlier Mayumashu (talk) 02:06, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Manti

Further to your edit in Manti, are you sure that this is ONLY Western Armenian Cuisine, i.e., the cuisine of the Armenian Diaspora? To the best of my recollection manti are also enjoyed in Yerevan, and furthermore see the discussion of this topic on Talk:Manti (dumpling). So it seems we need to keep Category:Armenian cuisine, perhaps in addition to Category:Western Armenian cuisine. Please answer either on Talk:Manti (dumpling) or on my talk page. Thank you. --Zlerman (talk) 05:59, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

  • And same question concerning your edit in Meze, of course. --Zlerman (talk) 06:14, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hovhannes Katchaznouni

Hello, I need your advice in this article, which's one section I proposed to merge to this one called The ARF Has Nothing To Do Anymore (book). --Vitilsky (talk) 11:27, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Armenian script request

Is it possible to add Armenian names and script to various Azeribaijani geographic articles, many you can find in Category:Khojali Rayon and similar categories for the NK area and the border zone - also for the formerly Armenian populated places in more central and northern Azerbaijan. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 15:22, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome!

Welcome to WikiProject Ottoman Empire and thank you for joining! Currently, I have been tagging all the articles within the scope of the project, and you (or anybody, for that matter) are more than welcome to help. Thanks, mynameinc 16:45, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Armenian Churches template

As the list is now growing, we need to be creative in breaking it apart into multiple templates which at least link to each other. For now we should probably limit the template to until the 18th century. Anything including and after the 19th century should be part of a new "Contemporary Armenian Monasteries and Churches" template. Serouj (talk) 05:53, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Actually, the cut-off date should probably be the end of the Middle Ages (16th century). So anything including and after the 17th century should be in the "Contemporary" (or "Modern") template. This would include the Vank Cathedral, San Lazarro, the Baku church, Holy See of Cilicia at Antelias, etc. This would at least limit the Historical list; the Contemporary list is just starting... Serouj (talk) 06:02, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hello

[edit] Title of Raffi (poet) page

Wouldn't it be best simply to title the page Raffi (author)? Diranakir (talk) 15:53, 23 April 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Diranakir (talkcontribs)
