[edit] Pronoun usage
Hi. It seems to me we got off to the wrong foot here. Please understand that I've good intentions here, and I just don't feel there's enough evidence for your case. I am willing to be proven wrong though. Xiner 08:25, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Serama redux
The serama topic we worked on together is under attack by another group, undoing the non-bias and removing our links. Is there a way to stop such things? --— Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.82.9.11 (talk • contribs)
- Hi there! I took the liberty of making a topic title and sigining with your IP for you. Just helps keep things clearer. :)
- Unfortunately, I don't really know enough about the topic to spot anything but the most obvious bias - I came across the article via the random article link. However, I'll add it back to my watchlist and keep an eye on it. It might possibly be worth it to ask the folks at WikiProject Birds for help; I think you'd be more likely to find a fellow expert there than through someone who stumbled across the article via Random Article. --Sparky Lurkdragon 19:03, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New pages
Is it possible for you to make a new page? --— Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.82.9.31 (talk • contribs)
- As a registered user, I do have that ability. However, if you'd like to write a new article for the Wikipedia, I'd really recommend making an account. I wouldn't feel right about posting someone else's work for them, and I'm not sure that would be entitely legal besides.
- Don't worry too much about making newbie mistakes; unless it's a really bad faux pas like making a page titled "Why topic x sucks" or typing gibberish, most Wikipedians won't mind much. Helping our fellow editors out is why everyone can edit. :) --Sparky Lurkdragon 05:40, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:IFilm logo.PNG)
Thanks for uploading Image:IFilm logo.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:01, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Redirect of Basic Pokémon
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Basic Pokémon, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Basic Pokémon is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Basic Pokémon, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 17:01, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed deletion of Vortex life form
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Vortex life form, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Speedy deletion nomination of ♥♪!?
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on ♥♪!?, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
