[edit] The Ferals

I'm sorry about the page, I was only constructing an episode guide, but it kept going wrong. No hard feelings? — Preceding unsigned comment added by DGRM13 (talkcontribs) 18:27, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

I do not understand why you have changed back the correction I made to the piece on colour. I was simply trying to correct the incorrect spelling, which for some reason was spelt "color". Why would this be? I am on the English speaking site and if you care to take a look in the Oxford English Dictionary, (considered by most to be the most accurate) the word is spelt colour. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cgmellor (talkcontribs) 20:10, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

Yeah? You see a lot of encyclopedias calling their readers fools? Cut it out. Wknight94 talk 20:52, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

I was making a point, which clearly worked. I highlighted an error. It's incorrect. Sort it out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cgmellor (talkcontribs) 14:42, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

If by "worked", he means taking steps towards getting himself blocked, he might be right. :) ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 15:16, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi Wknight94,

I noticed you replied to some feedback from the new Feedback Dashboard feature – you might be interested in the task force Steven Walling and I just created for this purpose: Wikipedia:Feedback Dashboard. [edit] Re: James Randi edit

James Randi is the greatest man who ever lived. This is established fact. Why are my edits being reverted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skeptic25 (talkcontribs) 01:13, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

  • Although I like Randi too I appreciate your quick response to this vandal and his sock! Allecher (talk) 01:30, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
    • "The greatest man who ever lived?" That editor must not get out much. Lots of folks would say Jesus is the answer to that question. But even barring that, I could make a pretty good case just for Stan Musial. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 03:45, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Awan - Disambiguation page

I have not vandalised the page in question, in fact the addition I have removed is inappropriate, as it has no place on a disambiguation page, because it is a reproduction of an existing Wikipedia article (Awan [Pakistan]), save for an inaccurate addition being made by a user who is attempting to pass off a Rajput tribe (the Gungals) as Awans. 92.20.3.203 (talk) 19:09, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Oh yes, I guess you're right. Sorry. I reverted back to the pre-Nov. 5 version. Wknight94 talk 19:12, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
I saw this user posted on your page as well. I am curious, what is a disambiguation page—cyberpower (Talk to Me]])(Contributions]]) 19:25, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
Take a look at WP:DAB and, more specifically, WP:DPAGES. Wknight94 talk 19:35, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
Oh. So it's basically a page that links to pages with different meanings of the word or article. Like Mercury would contain links to the pages that explains a different Mercury. I learned something.—cyberpower (Talk to Me]])(Contributions]]) 21:10, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

====Maxwell's Demon Hello. I saw that you removed the edit I did. I believe that it was incorrect for you to do so on the basis that i did not provide verification. If you see the other paragraphs under criticism and developement they do not have any cited verification either so on that basis you should have removed those as well. Additionally I did provide verification. It was published under facebook notes which is a reliable source. Additionally if you look under the university of arizona achieves you will find it, but those can't be cited as such as there is no proper way to do so. You may follow the link (verification) provided so you can see for yourself that it is information that has been published. To quote wikipedia: The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—whether readers can check that material in Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true. Allright thanks for your interest, and let us keep providing free and reliable information to the world! — Preceding unsigned comment added by AlanS333 (talkcontribs) 17:57, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

So what do you mean by verification?

Additionally, the other statements in the same section do not have verification, not even a reference. Are you going to delete does as well? Also you are more than welcome to go into the university of arizona into the physics the department and see such paper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AlanS333 (talkcontribs) 18:18, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Yes, this is a paper which has been published, which i did write, which i put on my Facebook notes for other's to see as i do not have a web page yet. Please stop removing it. Additionally by removing some papers and not others you are being unfair and biased, which goes against the wikipedia rules; on your basis you should remove all of them. I would advice you not to do so however as it would be a diservice to the spirit of wikipedia which is to provide information. So if you are to remove the post again, let me know how I can change the references so it may be acceptable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AlanS333 (talkcontribs) 18:35, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] 38.107.201.187

Just an FYI, I just notified the IT department for Frisco Independent Schools that users at that IP are engaging in abusive activities and explained to them how to have the block lifted on the IP address. They said they'll look into the abuse. I personally recommend leaving the block in place at least for the rest of the day. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 20:13, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] thanks

Thank you for welcoming me. Can I change my username? I don't think Paterno is a good name. Should I just create a new account? How about the name Jack Patern? I see you are an administrator. Can you change it or ask for me? If you can't, is there a Head Administrator that can do it? Jack Paterno (talk) 22:03, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Thank you, but too bureaucratic. There are 8 steps with all this jargon. Isn't it easier just to make a new account? Either that or request it for me or make the process simpler. A form to fill out would be nice. Jack Paterno (talk) 22:07, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, too complicated. I will keep my username for now. Jack Paterno (talk) 22:24, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] 31 hours

Hi Wknight94. I noticed that you recently blocked IP address 82.42.128.190 for 31 hours for vandalism. I fully support your action. But I have a question I hope you can answer: I've often wondered why editors/IP addressed are frequently blocked for 31 hours - it's always struck me as an odd time period. Thanks. DH85868993 (talk) 00:07, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

It's one of the standard time periods in the block length choices. I like it because it basically blocks until the end of the next school day. Wknight94 talk 01:54, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks. DH85868993 (talk) 04:29, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Pioneer Courthouse‎

I am interested in updating Pioneer Courthouse‎ with the names of judges such as Diarmuid O'Scannlain who have their chambers there. I noticed you indefinitely semi-protected Pioneer Courthouse‎ on 13 August 2009, saying "Upon further review, this page is almost never edited by IPs. Just leave semi-protected forever". After consulting WP:SEMI and WP:RUP, I decided to seek unprotection of Pioneer Courthouse‎. Since you are the one that protected it, I am hoping that by now you're willing to remove the protection. Thanks in advance. 72.244.200.117 (talk) 11:33, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Checked here in vain for your reply. You've been active since I brought up the question, so I'll wait a bit longer in case you forgot to reply then look for someone else to remove the protection. 72.244.204.176 (talk) 21:44, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
I saw this request and unprotected the page, which had been protected for over 2 years. If you edit it, please be mindful of the need to cite reliable sources for your information. And do consider registering an account. --Orlady (talk) 23:52, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

[edit] User:209.129.230.152

Hi Wknight94

Just noticed you blocked User:209.129.230.152. I have just noticed simmilar vandalism also by User:209.129.230.153 and User:209.129.230.199 which are in the same IP range. I am wondering if this may possibly be a sock but I don't know enough to tackle this. Could you advise?

WoodyWerm (talk) 19:30, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Yes, looks like they finally got bored though. Otherwise, semi-protection is probably the next step. Wknight94 talk 20:01, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Girlfriend and prostitute

You undid my statement many months ago. (this edit) Look, there is no difference in the principle! When you go to a prostitute, you pay her for enjoyment. She also gets enjoyment (plus money). If you don't want to pay, "get out". What about a girlfriend.? Ok, there is "romance", "love", etc. Is that real love? Or is it lust? It is lust. "I lust for you and you lust for me", that is: "I "love" your body and you "love" my body, not "I love you and you love me." No one (may be very, very few) "loves" another for what they are but what they have (e.g. sex appeal) or own (money, cars etc.). Do you understand? This is the harsh reality. Learn to face it. You pamper the girlfriend with goodies and riches to continue the relationship or else get rejected! You call this original research? In your country, you say "girlfriend", in our country we say "prostitute". That's all! -59.95.11.197 (talk) 16:01, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Amazing. I thought this was Christmas, not April Fools Day... The Rambling Man (talk) 16:04, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit] a request

You deleted Patricia A. Sullivan as an expired prod. Could you userify it for me? If there is nothing of value in its history I will promptly request speedy deletion. Geo Swan (talk) 07:55, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

All done: User:Geo Swan/Patricia A. Sullivan. Wknight94 talk 12:26, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
  • I created a new disambiguation page at Patricia A. Sullivan and turned the prodded article into a referenced stub. I figured a former University Chancellor who oversaw remarkable growth should meet WP:ACADEMIC.

Thank for your cooperation. It was actually a namesake of the Chancellor I was interested in.

Cheers! Geo Swan (talk) 17:54, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

A disambiguation page with one blue link? That was frowned on last I knew. Or are you turning the other link blue soon? Wknight94 talk 18:24, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
