Notability of an article[edit]
Some of the articles, I have written about football in different places were not notable. Is it because I didn't add references or links to my sources? What can I do to write a notable article (eg about football). (Αλεξανδράκης (talk) 12:03, 27 December 2011 (UTC))
- First up, read the guidelines at WP:FOOTY/Notability. Also read WP:GNG. If your subject doesn't meet the football notability guidelines, it must meet the overall ones.
- Second, read WP:V which is our guideline on verifiability. If you didn't add any sources or references, then that was probably why your articles were deleted.
- Thirdly, I recommend you join Wikipedia:WikiProject Football and ask for more advice on their talkpage. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 14:32, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

The article Tony Jamieson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league. His international appearances were all unofficial meaning he fails WP:NSPORT.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

February 2012[edit]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Greece national under-19 football team, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
