October 2012[edit]

Please do not attack other editors, as you did to Talk:Lady Gaga. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. gwickwire | Leave a message 22:04, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on Talk:Lady Gaga. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —C.Fred (talk) 22:59, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

December 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm RedSoxFan2434. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Theresa Spence, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Happy Holidays! RedSoxFan2434 (talk) 02:27, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

This user also appears to be inserting defamatory content from IP 108.170.148.125 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log), and has received two warnings on that page. Warnings and blocks apply per user, not per account. If any more inappropriate edits to Theresa Spence, Hunger strike or related articles come in from this IP or an IP in the same close range, the user has now been warned three times and may be blocked. - Slàn, Kathryn NicDhàna 02:35, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

FYI: the IP range 108.17x.xxx.xxx covers half of TELUS's consumer customer base. There are millions of users nationally within canada that may posses IP's in this range. I have been responding to you on the talk page for another IP as i did not notice the discrepency (and iPad isnt the best wiki editing tool). I have not added any defammatory content and have only removed poorly sourced (fring and questionable rs) as this is a BLP. I also added the afd tag as this articles content is not about her but instead the Idle No More protest and the housing crisis (with peppering of bill c-35 included). 108.172.114.141 (talk) 02:54, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

When there is a clear pattern of editing from the same IP range, it is reasonable to assume it is the same user. If you do not want to be penalized for the edits of other users, create an account. - Slàn, Kathryn NicDhàna 03:06, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Theresa Spence, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Removing sourced content. - Slàn, Kathryn NicDhàna 02:58, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Stop with the threats and instead enter the discussion. I have replied to you on numerous talk pages in an effort to talk it out and explain my changes but you refuse to reply with any meaningful discussion and instead keep falling back to threats of blocking. 108.172.114.141 (talk)

You have added a AfD tag to a page but have not completed the procedure so no deletion debate has started. If you don't complete the procedure, the tag may soon be removed from the article. Rmhermen (talk) 03:44, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on biased users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence Theresa Spence. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Happy Holidays!
