February 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Tacoma Narrows Bridge has been reverted.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mclp9qmcgs). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 19:08, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. If you edit without a username, your IP address (12.233.146.130) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page. Information.png Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit that you made to the page Shoggoth has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Please use the sandbox for testing any edits; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing for further information. Thank you. Atif.t2 (talk) 22:09, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Information.png The recent edit you made to Shoggoth constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to remove content from articles without explanation. Thank you. NorwegianBlue talk 22:44, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

I've just removed the same material myself, but with an explanation. It helps to give an edit summary, in case other editors can't quite see what angle you're coming from. Welcome to Wikipedia! You're doing some good work cleaning things up. --McGeddon (talk) 22:58, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

July 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Noah's Ark. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Cognate247 (talk) 19:02, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

USOS Seaview[edit]

On 24 Nov. 2010, you tagged the History section of the Seaview article for Original Research. I have added a new section, Historical Background, with citations. Would you please take a look, and consider removing the tag? Thank you.Whytk (talk) 13:57, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Beowulf dragon[edit]

Hi, instead of tagging, would you mind cleaning it up. It won't take long. If you tag, you're merely demanding that someone else come along to do it. Thanks. Truthkeeper (talk) 23:09, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

Tablet computer[edit]

Thanks for your copyediting and content review at Tablet computer! – Pnm (talk) 01:27, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Changing "cleanup" to "copy edit"[edit]

Hi, when you change the tag, please would you also set the date to the current month, rather than leaving the previous date there, as it's a new copy edit tag. When you leave the previous date, it causes the recreation of a previously cleared and deleted monthly cleanup category. Thanks. --Stfg (talk) 11:22, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

Edit war on Jonathan Frid[edit]

Your recent editing history at Jonathan Frid shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. TomCat4680 (talk) 21:07, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

June 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Jamie with this edit. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. February 2013[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Touch (2012 TV series), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you.. Please provide an edit summary with a rationale for tagging this article, and avoid multiple tags when one can be used. Repetitive tags with no rationale can be disruptive to the editing of an article. --Drmargi (talk) 01:19, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Earplay, because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links.
Your edit here to Earplay was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://otrarchive.blogspot.com/2009/09/earplaynpr.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Maverick (TV series) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
