May 2011[edit]

Please do not rely on your personal knowledge in removing material supported by reliable sources, as you did in Cape Sable. The term "Spanish Indians" is used in Charlton W. Tebeau's book Man in the Everglades, which is one of the listed references used for the article. The "Spanish Indians" were often identified with the band led by Chakaika during the Second Seminole War. Another aspect was that there were "rancho Indians", part Spanish and part Indian (Calusa and/or Creek and/or Choctaw), that worked at Spanish-Cuban fishing camps along the Gulf Coast of Florida until the middle of the 19th century. -- Donald Albury 23:28, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
