July 2010[edit]

Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Case Closed, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Raychut (talk) 10:11, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Paul Romero with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. 10metreh (talk) 16:37, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Paul Romero, you may be blocked from editing. 10metreh (talk) 16:39, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

COI spamming[edit]

Here are the guidelines: WP:SECONDARY, WP:UNDUE. Unregistered editors who add narrow, recent references to a single research group are often, with good intentions, spamming and subject to WP:COI. Just avoid that kind of thing.--Smokefoot (talk) 12:57, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

October 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Velella. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Asher Noria, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.  Velella  Velella Talk   14:37, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Asher Noria. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article.  Velella  Velella Talk   14:40, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

South China University of Technology[edit]

I'm afraid I've had to revert your additions to the above article for the following reasons:

  • Dumping a huge quantity of unformatted, unlinked, machine-translated text into the article serves no useful purpose.
  • Adding a list of names requires that those featured in it are in some way notable.
  • Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a vehicle for promoting things. Text peppered with the words "best" and "famous" is a sure sign that content serves no encyclopedic purpose.

Don't worry, the info you added still exists in the page history and you can still access it. If you intend to add material, then please follow the guidelines above, you may also like to read something about the basic idea of Wikipedia or the help pages. ► Philg88 ◄ Star.pngtalk 10:48, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

Just to let you know, I have started a discussion on the article's talk page re your additions. ► Philg88 ◄ Star.pngtalk 11:39, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (Insert-signature.png or Button sig.png) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 12:02, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at South China University of Technology shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. ► Philg88 ◄ Star.pngtalk 18:00, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
