October 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Attack (political party), with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 09:22, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Attack (political party) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --RJFF (talk) 19:02, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:40, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (Insert-signature.png or Button sig.png) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:15, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Attack (political party), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Request reason:

Why I am blocked? I have not removed any content from Attack (political party). Moreover the user Jim1138 is removing a sourced addition made by me, but then I am the one being blocked, not him. How is this happening? I request to be unblocked as soon as possible.

Decline reason:

As below. You are edit warring over the same material in that article with at least five other editors. Unblocking you while you are still confused, and while you are personally attacking other editors, would seem to be a poor idea. Kuru (talk) 12:33, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first and then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page for as long as you are blocked.

  • I've linked to the Wikipedia page outlining the project's policy regarding edit warring in your block notice. Perhaps you should read that and resubmit your request. Tiderolls 10:16, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

It is Jim1138 that is edit warring and removing content without explanation, not me. He has falsely written, as an explanation of his edit, that I have removed a citation, but I have not! And he is the one reverting my edit, thus removing a sourced addition, without explanation. Please check the revision history in Attack (political party)'s page, to ensure that there is absolutely no reason for my blocking.

  • First, you have been blocked for edit warring on this article previously. Second, multiple editors have reverted your edits. Third, being "right" in an edit war is, for all practical purposes, irrelevant. If you had read the edit warring policy, you would already know this. If you waste the time of administrators by submitting unblock requests that do not address the issue of your block, and you are aware that the unblock request is faulty, you risk further problems. Your choice. Tiderolls 10:36, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

HAHAHA!!!! YOU ARE THREATENING ME!?!?!?! SHAME ON YOU AND ALL SUCH MORONS VANDALIZING WIKIPEDIA!!!!!!!

As a previously wholly uninvolved admin I have read through the thread here and the article in question, and you are quite clearly edit-warring. I have not changed you block, but please be warned; your comment above is not acceptable here.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 11:42, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

As a wholly uninvolved admin,. I have read through all this at the same time as Anthony, bradbury, and I concluded that your block should be increased to 3 months for the common abuse made above in capital letters. Any more of that, and I would further increase the block. I made the block and was preparing to type this message whilst Anthony was typing his message. If you wish to appeal this, you must do politely and with no abuse, otherwise your appeal will fail, and you may find additional penalties to prevent further disruption apply.  DDStretch  (talk) 11:49, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

Blanking the page which contains current block messages and warnings is not sensible, and I sense you are trying to get yourself prevented from doing even more than you can do under the current block.  DDStretch  (talk) 18:14, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

Ok. I have now modified the block to prevent an anonymous editor from editing this talk page.  DDStretch  (talk) 18:16, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
