August 2011[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on OnLive. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. ButOnMethItIs (talk) 21:41, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

I regret to inform you that you've been blocked for edit warring at OnLive. In the future, please discuss contested edits on rather than repeatedly reverting, and pursue dispute resolution as needed. If you wish to contest this block, you may add {{unblock|your reason here}} to your talk page, but consider our guide to appealing blocks first. Heimstern Läufer (talk) 17:48, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. No, making an edit already discussed by others on the talk page is not "vandalism", regardless of whether you feel there is support for it in that discussion. Neither is repeating an edit that was reverted without discussion, even after I asked the reverter to discuss it. Note also that the edit put that page in line with Binder full of women and Binders full of Women, which redirect identically. The onus is on others to justify why the one page is different from these. 168.12.253.66 (talk) 15:11, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

Who do you think the banned user (puppeteer) is? You'll probably want to add these to the case at WP:SPI, or add them, as the case may be. Ignatzmicetalk 20:35, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

I personally have no idea; I marked them G5 because multiple iterations of the same material at different titles have also been deleted per G5. It's clearly some returning sockpuppeteer; and it's clearly hoax material (the supposed singer does not exist outside of Wikipedia mirrors and user-editable sites, despite the lofty claims in the recent article). 168.12.253.66 (talk) 20:39, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

Removing PRODs[edit]

Why did you remove the PRODs from all of the articles that were unredirected? Now they all have to go through AfD, which takes up a lot of editors' time. Jackmcbarn (talk) 17:48, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

Because it is not permissible to add the PROD tag a second time as you did. There is no exception for reverting IP users because you know that you know better. 168.12.253.66 (talk) 17:51, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
I was under the impression that you agreed the articles shouldn't exist, since by changing them to redirects, you removed all of their content. I didn't consider restoring the articles to be restoring a contested PROD. Jackmcbarn (talk) 18:08, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

Removing Links to Content for Korean Dragonball[edit]

Regarding the Korean Dragonball fan film, I'm not trying to get into an argument or anything, but I was wondering what part of copyright law you are citing in justifying removal of those links - the material doesn't technically violate the Dragonball copyright, to my understanding, as while it was an unlicensed production and was originally sold in the early 90's, it qualifies as a fan film, which falls under fair use. The same would go for any other fan film to my understanding, which is entirely fan created. Ilikenwf (talk) 19:01, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

By all means feel free to initiate an RM, I'd probably support if you did (not because I have a view, but simply because your input has been short changed by myself not acting in a timely manner). All the best. In ictu oculi (talk) 15:53, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

I don't think it's actually a big deal either way, but since I do have an opinion I believe I'll reopen the move discussion. 168.12.253.66 (talk) 16:08, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, added support on merits and procedure. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:21, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

This is a shared IP address and I don't care to register an account, so I understand that vandalism from this IP will result in it being blocked occasionally. That being said, can someone please revert [edit] by Largoplazo (talk · contribs). It is a legitimate edit, and Largoplazo does not have clean hands; he believes that he has a right to revert my removal of proposed deletion templates and warn me for contesting proposed deletions. 168.12.253.66 (talk) 15:37, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

  • The edit cannot be undone, and I can't add it manually because it would be considered a comment from me. I suggest you place the comment again, and perhaps mention WP:IPs are human too. It might protect your comment from deletion. —    Bill W.    (Talk)  (Contrib)  — 16:25, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
  • Correction. I forgot the IP was blocked. You should seek Admin help for this. Sorry for the confusion. —    Bill W.    (Talk)  (Contrib)  — 16:27, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Hey, I've restored the edit, as it was removed without comment. In passing, I'm not sure why Bill W thought this needed an admin, but it's not important. I suppose there's this whole spiel I'm supposed to give about the wonders of account ownership, but you look like you know the drill, so I'll just skip it. Cheers!
