November 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Dario Rivarossa has been reverted.
Your edit here to Dario Rivarossa was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://he-art-dhr.blogspot.com/2011/03/hello.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 19:33, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

apology not accepted, congratulations, you reverted referencing of a blp, resulting in a deletion. this translator has many self identified bloggers commenting on his work. these blogs meet the terms of EL policy. 198.24.31.123 (talk) 16:23, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Prakash Angdembe do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia.
I did this because http://newtonku.blogspot.com/2010_10_12_archive.html is probably inappropriate for an encyclopedia. We usually avoid linking to blogs, forums, and social media sites.

We appreciate your help in making Wikipedia better for everyone. If I made a mistake, feel free to undo my edit. If you have any questions, you can ask at the Help desk.

Thank you! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:05, 29 November 2011 (UTC) If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

this blog meets the EL guidelines, do not revert a reference it is disruptive.198.24.31.123 (talk) 17:09, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Hello, once again, I've removed one or more of the external links you added. Please don't add such links to Wikipedia anymore. Wikipedia is not a collection of links nor a directory, so what you're doing looks like spam. If you still feel the link should be in Wikipedia, please discuss it first on the discussion page of the relevant article.
I did this because http://australianpottery.wordpress.com/2008/12/02/known-potter-22-marea-gazzard/ is probably inappropriate for an encyclopedia.

We appreciate your help in making Wikipedia better for everyone. If I made a mistake, feel free to undo my edit. If you have any questions, you can ask at the Help desk.

Thank you! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:31, 29 November 2011 (UTC) If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

once again i've reverted your disruptive deletion of references. the blog of collectors of her work, is per the EL guidelines, however, even if you disagree, it does not justify deleting reliable sources. 198.24.31.123 (talk) 17:38, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Marea Gazzard. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. AllyD (talk) 17:44, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Nazia Mogra. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
I did this because http://twitter.com/#!/nazzzy is probably inappropriate for an encyclopedia. We usually avoid linking to blogs, forums, and social media sites.

We appreciate your help in making Wikipedia better for everyone. If I made a mistake, feel free to undo my edit. If you have any questions, you can ask at the Help desk.

the EL twitter link to the journalists twitter feed is in strict acordance with EL policy, if you want to banish twitter, then change the policy. until then stop deleting references. 198.24.31.123 (talk) 18:11, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Wang Ping (author), because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links.
Your edit here to Wang Ping (author) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXCresBSrJw) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Natalie Diaz (poet). Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it.

do not revert links in accordance with wp:el: "There is no blanket ban on linking to YouTube or other user-submitted video sites, as long as the links abide by the guidelines on this page" & "Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject and cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to copyright issues,[3] amount of detail (such as professional athlete statistics, movie or television credits, interview transcripts, or online textbooks), or other reasons" 198.24.31.123 (talk) 18:33, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

not a spam link, rather reading by article subject, in strict accordance with policy. I invite you to blacklist youtube. your block would be a badge of honor. 198.24.31.123 (talk) 19:05, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

I have re-removed all the youtube external links. As you cite above: ".. that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject and cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to copyright issues,[3] amount of detail (such as professional athlete statistics, movie or television credits, interview transcripts, or online textbooks" - poets reading one of their works are not relevant to encyclopedic understanding of the subject. Moreover, it still fails some of the points in WP:ELNO. We are writing an encyclopedia here, not a linkfarm. Please reconsider your edits. --Dirk Beetstra T C 09:22, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
