Request reason:

Blatant conflict of interest on the part of User_talk:Darkwind, a dubiously newly minted administrator who seems to have a problem with people who question whether he should follow the 3 revert rule and simple guidelines for acceptable sourcing on biographies of living people. 222.155.201.232 (talk) 08:04, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

Decline reason:

(1) You are blocked for disruptive editing. Have you edited disruptively? Yes, indubitably. (2) Does your unblock request address the reason for your block? Not in the least. (3) Is there anything about the block that might be considered questionable? Yes: it is for only 31 hours, despite the fact that your disruptive editing, including editing articles to promote a point of view, has been going on for almost a week. That is the only thing about the block that might be considered worth changing. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:52, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first and then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page for as long as you are blocked.

An interesting point of view, but people who actually understand Wikipedia policy tend to frown upon the tendentious addition of poorly sourced material to biographies of living persons. Why not try refraining from doing so? 222.155.201.232 (talk) 08:17, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

February 2013[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Michael McIntyre. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place "{{helpme}}" on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Michael McIntyre was changed by 222.155.201.232 (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.923869 on 2013-02-22T21:04:59+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 21:05, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at User talk:ClueBot Commons, you may be blocked from editing. I am also warning you about the edits you have been making tonight, especially in relation to Michael McIntyre. Your edits are following the same pattern that got you blocked last time. You are close to receiving a longer block for the same type of edits. 5 albert square (talk) 22:01, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

English[edit]

In this edit you wrote "He lead the siege". Presumably you meant "He led the siege". I don't know whether this was just a slip, or whether you really thought that "lead" was invariant in the present and past tenses, like "cut". 80.168.174.107 (talk) 08:49, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

February 2013[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Gro Harlem Brundtland, you may be blocked from editing. 80.168.174.107 (talk) 08:53, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Michael McIntyre. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. 80.168.174.107 (talk) 09:03, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

A word of advice[edit]

Repeated edit-warring is liable to get you blocked again. Please read WP:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle and WP:Edit warring, and understand that being sure you are right is not an excuse for edit-warring. It is prohibited because if it were allowed, articles would end in the state preferred by the most obstinate edit-warrior, and people who want to build the encyclopedia but do not like conflict would be driven away from the project. If your edits are reverted, do not simply repeat them, but start a talk page discussion and try to reach WP:Consensus with other users.

You should also read WP:CIVIL and WP:Assume good faith. I know that on many websites "flaming" is a normal way to proceed, but not here. The attitude shown in your unblock request will not get you anywhere but blocked. JohnCD (talk) 14:43, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

May 2013[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Scottish devolution referendum, 1979. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. RashersTierney (talk) 22:17, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
